This bold bay stallion is Staleys Orion. He was foaled on April 19, 1972 and was bred by John Rogers. Orion's dam was Neecheza. She stood 15.3 hands and was very correct in conformation. She has been described as a horse that could do it all. She could race, she could produce, and she had a disposition that makes an ideal riding mare. Staleys Orion was sired by the well known Crabbet-bred horse, *SERAFIX. Serafix was imported from England in 1954 by John Rogers. He was a very correct basic horse and all Arabian in type. His charisma, balance and substance were passed on to his foals as is evident in Orion. Serafix was the leading sire of champions from 1968 to 1972 when he was displaced by Bask. The Serafix influence in the performance arena continues to be seen in his get. Staleys Orion has shown his athletic ability in his achievements. In 1980 he was a Top Ten Canadian National Park Horse. He has also won numerous Class A Championships in Park. He has been Region 12 Reserve Champion Park Horse and Region 12 Top 5 in Formal Driving. In 1984 he was again Region 12 Top 5 in Park. Staleys Orion is owned by JABAR ARABIANS of Alpharetta, Georgia.
